Question:  Should I use some kind of anti-oxidant grease between the arrestor and the mounting fixture ?

Answer: We recommend using our M-602 anti-oxidant paste.  Be sure both surfaces are clean before mounting; abrading with fine snadpaper or scotch brite is a good way to clean them, then apply anti-oxidant paste and attach with hardware.

Question:  What size hardware is recommended for mounting arrestors to aluminum sheet?

Answer: Use a very short self drilling screw such as a #8 x 1/4".  If using machines screws and nuts,#8 or #10 work fine.

Question: Can I attach this directly to the wall, desk etc.?

Answer: Yes they can be mounted to any solid surface, and do not need to be insulated. It may be necessary to space the sheet off the mouting surface so the mounting screws don't contact/penetrate the surface behind the sheet.   Remember that a robust ground connection IS required!  If mounted outdoors we recommend putting it inside some kind of an enclosure to keep dry.
